Ultimate Safaris and the Conservation Travel Foundation have recently gone into a Joint Venture with //Huab Conservancy in opening a camp which is designed to assist with the protection of the desert adapted black rhinos. This has involved a major investment into the area, and the additional presence of both the rhino rangers employed and the guests visiting the camp will be of major benefit to local conservation efforts. This partnership was possible due to the dedication from //Huab Conservancy, Save the Rhino Trust, Ultimate Safaris and the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, and it has already created an income of N$ 100,000 for the local community, giving them a good reason to want to assist in conservation efforts.
